Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening, As a way to improve communications among the members of the chapter I have decided that it would be beneficial for me to email the upcoming events to our members periodically. That being said please find the upcoming events below. As a way to maintain accurate information on the website I will post the bodies of these emails to our site under the "updates" link as I update the website (http://www.etowndemolay.org/). UPCOMING EVENTS: Chicken & Waffle Dinner- This is our first fundraiser for the term and will be held on JAN 31 from 3-8PM in the Lodge Dining Room. We encourage you to come out and enjoy this PA Dutch Speciality. This will be chapter first so come on out and lend us a hand or just to enjoy. Tickets were mailed out a couple weeks ago but don't fret if you still need them they will be available at the door. Eastern Star Ceremony (FEB 1)- This Event will be used as a way "spread the word" about DeMolay to the other Masonic Bodies we will be staffing a booth for most of the day, Don't worry we know this is Superbowl Sunday and you will be finished in plenty of time to get to your parties. This is scheduled to run from 9:30 am - 3pm if you would like to participate please email me (astueckroth@gmail.com) or call me 717-315-1666. Taste of Western Lanc. (FEB 6). - This is another event that will be used to inform the public about our existence. This event is sponsored by the Rotary Club and will be held at the Elizabethtown Public Library from 4:30-9PM. We will be responsible for serving visitors and other duties as assigned. Please contact me if you will be available to assist with this event. Parents please encourage your children to participate in this event. We need as many guys as we can muster to demonstrate the quality and caliber of boys that we have. As I am sure some of these visitors have children that would be eligible for membership it would benefit everyone if we demonstrated what we are capable of doing. Basketball Practices- Held every Wednesday and Thursday from 6-8 in the gym at Patton Campus PAST EVENTS: Volleyball Tournament- E-Town brought their "A" Game and took FIRST place. This was after many long games that went into the wee hours of the morning. With the final game running until approx 2:30 AM. Congratulations are defiantly in order for all the members that participated. Presidential Inauguration- Several of our members joined the rest of the PA crew that went down to Washington to join the masses as they welcomed our new president into office. Reports from this event were promising as only one of our members who shall remain nameless *cough* Spanish *cough* went slightly underdressed and found a new definition for the word "COLD" Wing Night- A handful of our guys went to Boro Wings in Hummelstown where 33 Chickens had given their lives so that we could enjoy this wonderful occasion, that’s right 132 wings for 6 people. It was also rumored that our Senior Councilor (Tommy) had managed to beat his personal best of 24 wings by 2 which were graciously "donated" by "DAD" Killian As always if you have any questions, comments, or whatever please let me know. The only way we can improve our chapter is continuing to evolve.
